Ad4! recently completed rebranding and a new website for Limestone County, Alabama. Community Branding is one of our specialties. This was an especially fun project. We love meeting in Athens, home of the Limestone County government. It’s a beautiful and historic area with lots of nice restaurants. But even more than the scenery and food, we loved working with the folks there. From County Commission Chairman, Mark Yarbrough, and his marketing manager, Michelle Williamson, to all the department managers with whom we interfaced. We found people ready and willing to put the counties best foot forward.
The branding is spot on for a community with a very high quality of life. So many excellent qualities for Limestone County including the health of its citizens, available recreation and outdoor activities, cost of living, and so much more. Limestone County really is a great place to live and raise a family.
The new website at www.limestonecounty-al.gov is an excellent resource for county residents. We also connected the website with their new Smart911 system. It allows citizens of the county to create a personal profile that will notify them of any weather and other emergency information. It also allows emergency responders to know specific health and location information about you and your family that might save a life in an emergency.
In fact, Limestone County was written about in this month’s Emergency Management magazine about the new website and Smart 911 system. See the article County Web Presence, Smart911 Updated. In addition, the Association of County Commissions of Alabama has been promoting Limestone County as a model for other counties to follow with their website and content strategy. You can follow the ACCA on Twitter at @alabamacounties.
If you’re ever in North Alabama, check out Limestone County, and historic Athens. It’s a beautiful area and you can use their new website to plan your trip.
